Card 101
Sir Galahad's battle-proven grey sword is adequate for offing one or two zombies, but you'll want to use something a little stronger when hundreds of the ravenous creatures are flooding in from all sides. Cards give you the power to slay better, escape harm or succor the deadly bite of the zombie. Used at the right time and in the right place, cards can be downright devastating.

There are five distinct cards, each serving their own unique purpose. Each card has three rarities: common, uncommon and rare. The rarer versions of each card are extremely powerful and should be saved for moments of absolute need.

Smite sends a radiant white ring out from within Galahad's body, stunning all zombies caught within the radius of the ring. Use this card to stop more powerful enemies from hitting you while you rain beats down upon them. The uncommon and rare versions increase the stun radius and also the duration of the stun.

Dash hurtles you rapidly to the location of the cursor, damaging any foes caught in the way. This card can be used to escape dangerous situations and close the gap between you and a desirable target. While dashing, you are completely invincible to all attacks. Don't underestimate Dash's damage dealing capability. Rarer versions increase the Dash damage radius. Every rarity level of Dash grants three uses of the card before it is fully expended.

Zealotry sends Galahad into a fervor, increasing his swing speed and turning the sturdy grey sword into a giant bloodstained blade of the Faith. This card is excellent for hitting both single and multiple targets, especially at higher rarities. Whilst under the effects of a rare Zealotry, you will be nigh untouchable.

Holy Beam discharges a white circle of purity unto the battlefield in the direction of the cursor, rending the flesh from any zombies caugh in it's path. This card is a great crowd-clearer that can also be tactically used against single targets. It can hit the same enemy multiple times if aimed correctly, and with strategic use of the level boundaries. The uncommon version grants two uses of a larger beam, whilst the rare grants three of a ridiculously-sized beam.

Succor cleanses the wounds dealt to you, restoring your health bar. The common version heals 25 percent, the uncommon 50 percent and the rare a full 100 percent.

Knowing what the cards do is half the battle, and the other half is actually getting them. Please note the "power bar" in the top-right corner of the screen, above your card slots. This bar will fill over time, and when full, you'll be given a card at random. If your card slots are full, the bar will remain full and instantly give you another card once you've freed up a slot.

But there is more than one way to fill that bar up. Hit a zombie with Ole Dependable, and it goes up a little. Kill a zombie, and it will go up even more. Take a little damage, get a little power bar. Take a lot of damage, and the power bar will flow freely.

The card power bar will fill faster than you may initially expect, especially while killing large numbers of the undead. Use cards efficiently to maximize damage and keep new cards coming. There are situations where saving an uncommon or rare card would be wise, as well as instances where immediate usage would be most pertinent. Experiment to find out the strategy that works best for you.
